How else can I explain that after having my heart broken last year

Watching Crystal Bowersox is the closest I have come to understanding what it was like to watch Janis Joplin.
This white trash, single mother, missing a few teeth, pierced, tattooed, lady is a full scale rock goddess
Diabetes or not, she can belt it out like the love child of Melissa etheridge and Robert Plant
But yeah, once again the 14 year old white girls of middle America
Voted for the scruffy faced guy; Lee Dewyze.
It’s not like there’s anything wrong with Lee, well he can’t stretch a note and doesn’t have much in the way of stage presence, but he’s a kazillion times better then Chris Allen, who thus far doesn’t seem to too much besides American Idol and Ford commercials..
Lee can sing so long as he sticks within his range, can play guitar, is likable and can rock, but honey he’s just not Crystal Bowersox and never will be.

I’ll tell you I get the whole letting America vote thing
And that’s why the crowds and the ratings are so big
But sometimes I just think they should give it to the judges
Cause there wasn’t a single judge on that panel who would have voted for Lee
And everyone knows it

But hey, hopefully crystal will rise high above it all and have the mega career she deserves anyway
She certainly deserves it

Crystal you won tonight and everyone knows it

Ok kids listen
Yes softball is super popular with gay women
Just as men’s figure skating is super popular with gay men
But there are plenty of straight female soft-ball players and plenty of straight male figure skaters..also for the record plenty of straight male ballet dancers and plenty of straight female golfers too
But the more important issue is this
Its 2010!
Why goes anyone give a rat’s ass whether supreme court nominee Elena Kagan is gay anyway?!?!?

Come on folks!
Judge the lady by how good a judge she’d be, not by whether or not you think that she’s gay.

I’m so sick of homophobia.
We all are equal. We all should be able to marry the one we love.
We should all live our lives free from discrimination.

And hay, if Elena Kagan played a mean game of softball, I say hurray for her! Gay or straight it’d be nice to have a lady in the supreme court who could kick some ass on the soft-ball field.
