Here’s hoping the house and the senate will be able to agree on it.
I’m just going to celebrate that it’s all the table at least. Heath care in this country is an abomination. It would be nice if democrats and republicans could just agree on something once in a while. It makes me sad that trying to reform healthcare has become so completely bi-partisan.
But alas for the holidays I choose to think that somehow this will all work out for the better.

i remember when New York

union square thursday night, my cab passed the thousands of protestors
horrified at the 38 against 24 vote to not allow gay marriage in New York
oh honey i would have gotten out and protested too
but i was on my way to a stonewall foundation fundraiser
which gives 14 million bucks a year to gay charities so
i figured i was helping the cause anyway
but sheesh
this means boston
which i'd always considered to be far less progressive
far more uptight
with way less edge and cool
as my beloved nyc
is like

when it comes to gay rights
what happened to new york?
we are supposed to be the leaders
in free thinking
we are supposed to show the world
what it means to be tolerant

new york city has about as much in common with new york state

miami does with florida
