i watched the season premiere
of Nip Tuck, a show i must admit
has become a guilty pleasure of mine
but now that the boys have relocated to LA
the show brought up one of the things about Hollywood
not to mention our society as a whole
that has always really pissed me off
that men can age and still be called sexy
but women fall into the bermuda triangle once they hit 40
sure harrison ford
sean connery
clint eastwood
robert redford
any of the old men of yesteryear
can step up and star in a film
right now
but what happens to julia roberts
shes nearly geriatric by hollywood standards now
has the babe even hit 39 yet?
and hollywood would not be able to get away with this shit
if we didn't support them
i think its up to more of us to demand to see
a "first wives club" part two
thank the lord
merryl streep is getting some work
and susan sarandon too
not as the leading ladies of course....
personaly i make a point to go to movies when they case dianne keaton
or julie christie and id like to see more of it
bring on a charlies angels flick with the original cast from the tv show
how bout dumping that boring ass bionic woman star
and letting lyndsay wagner jump back in
shes doing nothing but sleep-eze bed commercials
she still looks good
why not a bionic 60 year old?
anyway
i think for the most part women dont even get their true sex appeal till 40
they're like un-seasoned sauce before that
and i'd like to see more celebration of babes
who are not babies
viva la over 40 vixens!
happy halloween kids
are you feeling spooky
i am
i went to asbury for the weekend
and took part in the great halloween bash there
at the empress
my pals from san diego where intown
darling gina
and fabu sue
and we all just had a hoot
now im back in nyc
getting ready for the hooting and howling here
got my candy ready for the kids
and my attitude ready for the crowds
ill tell ya honeys
i did a lot of laughing
and a lot of smiling
in the last few days
and it made me realize that
i just dont do that nearly often enough
and i should
we all should
so lets all just go out this halloween
and be fun
and smile
and laugh
and let our inner children play
im sending a big waft of love to all those
in california fighting off fires and the fear of them right now
including my own friends and family in the san diego area
lately it seems like a lot of people i care about deeply
are going thru terrible ordeals
cancer
crime
loss
major life ordeals
and in those times i hear my mom
talking
she says
this too shall pass
peace out
okay first off
let me say im thrilled al fore won the nobel peace prize
he's sort of off to the jimmy carter style
of great after office work
and yeah
honestly i would like to see al as pres
but i don't think he will go there again
more likely he will spend his time on his chosen mission
which in the end is far more important than a term in office
it did get me to thinking
however
what would this country be like
if al had won (well he did won)
but won and then landed the top job
well for starters this country would be most likely be trillions of dollars richer
we would most likely NOT be at war
we would most likely have far better effort made in our environment globally
we would most likely have far less enemies
and far more world wide support
and ok to the nay sayers
yeah
we maybe would not have caught osama ben laden
cause you know as it turns out
georgie junya did such a good job at that
ah well
hindsight is 20/20 and all that
let's just hope this country has learned what NOT to do from the lost lives
and lost fortunes of gw junior
here's to a brighter future
well i finally
cause it was on cable
saw blood diamon with leonardo di caprio
honey i put off seeing this for some time
mostly because it was going to bring up all that horror
about mutilation and people turning on themselves like
horrific vampires all in the name of diamonds
what happened in africa
in the conflict diamond issues
seemed even more horrible
than in other nations
because of all the mutilated children
their image is just too terrible to ignore
and yet of course
they were mostly ignored
yes
of course
preventing conflict diamonds from being sold
is one step towards stopping this
my fave line in the movie was
thank god there is no oil here
hmmmm
and yet here we are
killing in iraq
and wasn't this ultimately
a whole hell of a lot to do with harvesting
conflict diamonds
oil diamonds that is
oh money
why is so often dripping in blood
hi kids
sorry not to be posting as much as usual
but life has been a tad rock and roll
of late
and this little cowgal has been hustling
but here is what id like to rant about today
breast cancer
is it my imagination or is there a whole lot more of it then there used to be
im a young babe
relatively
with young pals
relatively
and i now I have had four women close to me
get this horrible disease
and a whole more women that i know but am less close to
while we are on the female subject..
ive also had quite a few in my inner circle
get hysterectomies i dont know if it spelled that right
sue me if i didn't
so is it the hormones?
in our meat and dairy products?
is it stress?
is it polution?
or is it just rotten luck
id like to know
