pride ride
well dears
twas a wild gay pride weekend here in nyc
and while this cowgal was feeling rather sad
to be partner-less during the celebration of demanding our rights to partner
with who we love
yes yes i know hard to believe that i am now alas single
but anyway
i still shook it up
saturday at the dyke march
met up with some ol pals from 20 years ago
and we wound up yacking it up till midnight just like it was yesterday
sunday i went to la march with miha-la
then joined my fave boy toy tommy
and marcos
for a night of being the only estrogen burst in a sea of like 10,000
half naked gay men
and lordy those boys
really dont have any boundaries at all
they like
they touch
which wasn't me
natch
i think a few of them were frightened of my bazungas
but i did what any gal would do in a sea of boys who love boys
i gave them all pixie sticks candies
and waved my gay flag around
like the world depended on it
today
im pooped
lost my voice
and im glad to be going home to tea and tv
but it twas fun dears
happy pride to you all
we have come so far
and have so far to go
but for one weekend a year
it feels like we are not the minority

Cindy Lauper and Matthew Shepard
i had the magical experience
of attending the amazing True Colors concert
at Radio City Music Hall starring and organized by the divine Cindy Lauper..
it was a great night
and la cubana, mihala, krisita and myself all just loved it
i adored The Dresdon Dolls who'd Id never heard of but will always remember now
jumped outa my skull for Deborah Harry being a big time Blondie fan
and although her new stuff just aint as great to me as blondie
and although shes looking a bit socker mom ish these days
i still just love her
margaret Chau rocked
rosie odonell was great
and even played the drums
ERASURE made all all the gay boys go mental
but all just drifted into the background
when cindy finally after several hours made her way to the stage
she was just adorable
dancing around in her barefeet
belting out notes that made us scream
she pulled every heart string in the audience
made thousands of boys and girls giddy and
i think we all just wanted to hug her
shes just so cute
and it was all for a great cause
to ERASE HATE
the Matthew Shepard Act
which is a response to the problem of violent hate crimes against the gay community
just some back ground
on May 3
the U.S. House passed the federal hate crimes legislation
it's now en route to the senate..
and has been renamed The Matthew Shepard Act
a fitting legacy for the beautiful angel Matthew horribly tortured and murdered
last night
our true colors were shining through
beautiful
like a rainbow

three cheers for THE SOPRANOS
and the all time worst series ending i have even seen
holy shit crackers?
could it have been any worse
if it weren't for the fact that i don't want to buy a new tv
i would have hit the screen with a 2 by 4
great series
not done justice by the ending
im guessing they thought this was art?

Rossi and Bill Clinton
Well kids
the Air America Bash was just fabulous
as where the hosts Mark Green and his darling wife Deni Frand
two more classy and lovely clients this little cowgirl has rarely found
and.. the guest of honor
was as show stopper
President Bill Clinton
Thanks to Deni's kindness I was able to meet Mr Clinton
and I must say up close and personal
that man just has so much charisma its amazing
he even smells nice!
I have always liked him
and like him even more now
It was a great night kids
and it felt lovely to create magical food
for people who truly appreciated it
is there any way
we could get bill for a third term??
sheesh
id even take guilliani back as mayor if it meant bill as president
the only thing more embarrassing then watching this country vote
(if we did) bush into office twice
was watching this country ruin bill's last couple year in office
because of what he did in his private time
im also a huge fan of air america radio
because after these last years of seeing all the news that's fit to slant
by the white house
its just nice to get to listen to some folks who don't give the cheney approved news
anyway
twas a fabu night folks

the only thing bad i heard about hillary clinton today
aside from a comment about her hair
which i dont agree with
was that she did not apologize for backing the war in iraq
was it only moments ago
when to be anti war
meant you were anti american
even anti christian
to be anti bush was way anti christian
cause ya know georgie poo was like a link to the messiah
cause ya know he's um from texas
even though hes really like NOT
yes the world is waking up
hope its not too late
i still like hillary

id still be happier with al gore
but for now
