just food for thought here
but if Imus is out for saying nappy headed ho's
shouldn't this be across the board?
the same radio company that ousted Imus
is playing rap music
that calls women
and african americans
far worse things
if you're gonna go PC
then it should be for everyone
not just an old white guy
I think Imus is annoying dont like him
he said something stupid for sure

just no sense

this world needs a big break
id like to say can we have less death like in the old days
but what old days?

the old days like the roman empire?
was there ever an era of peace in the world?
in the end
man sure has a mean streak up his butt
i think its time
for women to take over the world
take over islam
take over christianity
take over judaism
take over
the friggen world
women give birth to children
maybe they will be less apt to want to see them killed

this and that
well its been a cold rainy few days
and lots of folks getting really cold
as lotsa landlords thought that just cause is was april 12
the heat should go off
now where is that global warming when you need it?
on other news
i would like to see al gore win a nobel peace prize
im just staring to really like the guy
and im kinda ready to see hillary clinton grow some balls
no pun intended
and not just play the side of where the polls show
most folks are leaning
these days
it feels like a bravery is a rare commodity
its like the whole country got scared shitless after 911
and then nobody wanted to be brave again
just wait and see what the pack is doing
not speak out until a poll was sent to make sure it was all
palatable
so all i have to say is three cheers for bravery
if you have it flaunt it
its rarer then diamonds
and much more valuable

well im back in nyc
oy vey
was nice to take a break
and speaking of taking a break
you might have noticed that i have taken a long break
from bush bashing
not because i dont hate the little fucker
but just because well thinking and talking and blogging about
gw bush makes me a tad ill
so let's talk about something
easier on the stomach shall we
how bout american idol
oh no

easier not more nauseating..
although i am getting a kick out of what howard stern is doing to the show these days
with his vote for the worst singer thing

okay my 9 year old god-daughter forced me to know all this
i dont watch american idol
of this i am proud

and thankfully they are back
to take away the void of
the L word being gone till next year

here's all i got to say today re current events..
if you hate the war in iraq
go out and do something nice for someone today

if you voted for george bush once- go out and do something nice for three people today
and if you voted for george bush twice
hit yourself over the head with a frying pan
then liquidate all your assets and use the money to rebuild our economy

ptown april 2007
here in provincetown with my god-daughter zora, her best pal hannah,
my best friend trey, a.k.a zora's mom
and a whole lot of rather FAT seagulls
its cold
been rainy
still the off season
but there's a sleepy foggy calm not to mention a whole lotta folks who drank too much in the winter ambling about and i natch
feel my inner art child coming out to play
there is something truly fabu about seeing ptown thru the eyes of 9 year olds
for instance
one no longer has to worry about how good or bad the food in a joint might be
but rather how many wikkie sticks spell?they dole out and what caliber of crayon and coloring book they provide
the lobster pot was the clear ruler
and hey
food's not bad either
and now a word from mama trey extraordinare
"as a parent i'm beyond the phase where 9 year olds impress me with their limited cultural and culinary tastes instead they surprise me in other ways. Like how they understand people older and supposedly more complicated then they are or how they manage to take a spring break trip to a cold and damp place and still behave as if they were in Miami or Disneyland. I don't pretend to believe they have special powers of perception or have learned "the secret" instead I chalk it up to the pleasures and wonder of youth. "

passover
just a few tips here for those who in the passover way
1) do not eat matzoh into infinity followed by hard boiled eggs
or basically you won't poop till chanukah
2) do not hide the afekomen in the drier as i once did or you will spend weeks picking matzoh out of your underware
3) do not leave a glass of red wine on the floor for the prophet to come drink
forget about it and then kick it all over the friggen floor
4) do not try to show off by shoving a gallon of horseradish down your face
its not worth it
trust me
5) if you want to go for the sweet manishevistz jugs of wine
pour little glasses or you will really
really pay for it the next day
ech!
best to splurge
there really is good passover wine
really there is
i promise
okay maybe not good
but not bad
6) have a little snack before the seder starts
then you wont have to mainline the charoseth
7) only invite one ex lover at a time to seder
unless of course your two ex lovers are now dating
each other
8) try to remember that this whole thing is all about the exodus from egypt
and not just the charleton heston version
9) do not go out to the fish store looking for a filet of gefilte
gefilte fish is not a kind of fish
its basicaly a fish meat loaf thats poached
10) lastly
have fun
