new memoirable
well love bugs
i know its been a long ass time
but i have finally put a new post up on MEMOIRABLE
you gotta understand
that short story i started to write in the blizzard in pronvincetown january before last wound up being a 440 page novel
that i did not finish till this past summer and then promptly had writers block till recently
anyway
im back on the memoir band-wagon
cause i have to start taping new radio shows and im plum outa material
the radio show FYI is still on
theyre playing re-runs till april 17
then i tape a whole new season
its still every other monday
from 12:45 in the afternoon till 1

adventures in stones and stoning
i just gotta say
if theres any truth to the affair between salma hayek
and penelope cruz

my brother asked me to visit

when you get tickets to see The Rolling Stones in concert

should be a quiet night to see the stones in LA

palestine
had a good friend of mine from israel in town recently
and he took the time to tell me what his time in the israeli army was like
he explained how it felt to never know if the child or old woman coming towards you
was carrying weapons to terrorists or a bomb
because the terrorists so often used kids and old ladies
putting the israeli soldiers in the awkward position of having to either
frisk and interrogate kids and grandmothers
or risk death and that of their comrades
it sounded much like vietnam where our soldiers were forced into situations where the enemy might well be an 8 year old
and then came home to be called baby killer
and like vietnam
the soldiers themselves often felt conflicted
its hard to tell whats right and wrong in the face of blood and madness
my pal was deeply saddened by hammas being voted into power
and as much as his life was nearly taken on many occasions by palestinians
he is an advocate of peace
like many who have seen death
peace is the answer
but how do you make peace
with a terrorist??
how do you reward someone who has made it clear
that their mission is to see all jews dead, enslaved or converted??
do you have the answer?

more da vinci
ok
have done some research saw the BBC special
and here's where i sit on the conspiracy raised by the da vinci code
there seems to be little proof that mary magdeline was the wife of jesus
but no one can really give proof that it did not happen either
as far as i see it
there seems to be 100% proof not to mention common sense
that the church did suppress much of what went into the new testament
and there does seem to be excellant proof that mary magdeline
was not a prostitute but was in fact
a respected disciple and possibly the number 2 person to jesus
i guess for me the lesson is one i knew anyway
that anytime men(its always men in this case not women)
sit down to write a religion
old testament
new testamant
the koran
women seem to get the shaft
i mean hello
the only time women get to do anything worth mentioning in the old testament
is when the they either give birth to a hero
or marry one
or betray one
how bout being one?!
im for going back
and adding a healthy does of feminism to all religions
as far as we women having to suffer for all eternity
in painful childbirth
and periods
cause eve took the apple
thats a pile of horseshit
probably concieved by a guy who was rejected by the woman he wanted
but women have had to suffer
as second class citizens for thousands of years because of this crap
im not a pagan
but honeys at least they new how to
adore women
goddess worship and all that
anyway
who knows the true story
none of us of course
but one thing i do know
is that god doesn't think women
should be second class citizens
if he (or she) did
we wouldn't be so damn smart

Mama Rossi is back
Well kids
I thought I would fill you in on a little rossi secret
Ya see ive actually gone thru one of those things called
A LIFE TRANSFORMING EXPERIENCE
Yep a real deal, kinda thinking about life and death sorta encounter
I wont bore you with the details but what I will tell you is that
Because of this, im spending a whole lotta time thinking about what’s really important in life
And of course cleaning house- ya know sifting thru the people I know, figuring out who is dead weight, who really cares, who brings something to my life who is just a vampire
And not in the sexy leather kinda way
In my deep retreat for news, business, all things heavy duty I have let a few things permeate…the atrocity of Hammas taking over Palestine being at the top of the horror list..
But I wont go into that in this post …its just a little too depressing…
Heres what ive got so far from my journey
Lessons to live by ya might say
1) your friends are the ones who want to come by when you’re stinky and green
but are smart enough to call first and ask you if you really want to be seen like that
2) you can tell what really matters in your life by what you’re willing to take with you if you have to evacuate…didn’t happen but just for thought…I got cats, laptop and photo album…
3) if the thing you do for a living is the thing you really really really need to NOT do when you are taking time off, but not the thing you dread going back to like the black plague you’re probably somewhat healthy…if its at black plague status honey get out and start over… fortunately for moi I put myself in the somewhat healthy section here ya know if I win lotto I will not be working manyana but otherwise I can deal
4) love is a person willing to wash your hair for you…..for free…
5) milk of magnesia really does work
6) strangers who make eye contact can offer more kindness then family who don’t
7) there is no reason whatsoever to watch more then one Law and Order series
im sorry I just don’t it : Law and Order, Law and Order Jury by Trial, Law and Order Criminal Intent, Law and Order Special Victims Unit?!??!?!? Oy friggen vey and away already….how bout Law and Order---stop hogging up my #&$^&#*#((# television with a million kinds of Law and Orders…
8) sadness is knowing that you really can’t eat what you want to and happiness is knowing that you can at least get a way with a little cheat and then um maybe another….
9) Cars made after 1972 with few exception are just plain boring….
10) Waking up and knowing that a whole bunch of people really truly do care about how you are doing is excellent……. that they not only care but actively participate in the bettering of your life is pretty much the best you can hope for in this world
