twas a wild gay pride weekend here in nyc
and while this cowgal was feeling rather sad
to be partner-less during the celebration of demanding our rights to partner
with who we love
yes yes i know hard to believe that i am now alas single
but anyway
i still shook it up
saturday at the dyke march
met up with some ol pals from 20 years ago
and we wound up yacking it up till midnight just like it was yesterday
sunday i went to la march with miha-la
then joined my fave boy toy tommy
and marcos
for a night of being the only estrogen burst in a sea of like 10,000
half naked gay men
and lordy those boys
really dont have any boundaries at all
they like
they touch
which wasn't me
natch
i think a few of them were frightened of my bazungas
but i did what any gal would do in a sea of boys who love boys
i gave them all pixie sticks candies
and waved my gay flag around
like the world depended on it
today
im pooped
lost my voice
and im glad to be going home to tea and tv
but it twas fun dears
happy pride to you all
we have come so far
and have so far to go
but for one weekend a year
it feels like we are not the minority
