no good deed goes unpunished
a pal of mine used to say
and im sure having a week like that
a week of feeling like a whole huge chunk of the time and energy i volunteered for free has gone largely un-appreciated
but im trying to think new age
here
and i guess maybe one of my bigger faults
is a real need to feel appreciated when i give
i am a girl after all
all this positive thinking
and channeling the higher power
sorta thing
is great
but still
well
a gal likes to feel like all those who benefited from her time
and energy
are ya know
a bit grateful
anyway
its snowing
its gorgeous
and ive got classical music playing
and i think ill just take a moment
to thank myself
and accept that
sometimes you just gotta give
expecting nothing in return
and then you won't have to be disappointed
on other news
im feeling a bit worried about our next president
ya see the country clearly
wants to see no more bush or bush-esque folks
a major sway towards the dems
thankfully
but what im worried about is this
if the majority of people in this country
are not ready to elect a woman or a black man
as president
then will the republicans take it
even though the whole slant of this country is clearly ready for a change in the oval office
or am i thinking about this all wrong
is this in fact the best time to put a woman or a minority hmmm same thing?
up for election
because of the country's fed-up-ness?
would this be the time to really make a change
or do you think that neither one of these dems will make it to the finish line anyway...
ive been a bit out of the political loop
would like to hear your thoughts
and i promise
to be thankful and appreciative
