well bear week here in ptown is almost over
for those not in the know i must explain
exactly what a bear is in the gay community
and no its not a four legged creature that bites and is covered with fur
it is actually a two legged creature that might bite if you ask him
and is well ...covered in fur
as a babe
im not privy to the inner workings of the BEAR WORLD
but basically what i have come to understand is that its
the gay male communities answer to the buff, tanned, waxed and manicured pretty boys, also know as circuit boys, in nyc they are known as chelsea boys
in LA probably known as west hollywood boys
but some guys who like guys
i guess really want a guy who looks well natural
i mean WAY natural
beer belly
beard (mandatory im told)
lots of body hair
muscles maybe but the kind that come from working on your truck
not working out at the gym
im not sure what the lesbian version of a bear is
maybe furry, non shaving, mountain dyke
but ill tell ya one thing
bears are fun
nice to women
cuddly
and approachable
a whole lot better then the circuit boys who blow into town
hate women
hate me in particular for wearing yellow shoes and having big boobs
and spend all their time flexing
and sipping ice coffees and or apple martinis
so from one woman voyeur
i say goldilocks
likes the bears all three of em
oh and the younger smaller bears
are called cubs
they also have a slimmer variety which i think is called a seal
personally i think of myself as something of an otter
