Enron

MY pal K was talking to me yesterday about how she was terrified that justice would not be served in the enron scandle

“I need to see those guys in orange jump suits”
She said

And I certainly have to agree

I get to add insult to injury here being someone who recently sold her 1,000 shares of Enron for (drum roll please) ….. a dollar….just for the write off..
Course I really cant cry cause I bought after things started going down the tubes, my reasoning being at such a low price as it was that day. If things turned around Id be sitting very pretty..

Now ive got a buck

Here in nyc that used to mean I could hop on the subway
Now it means I need to borrow another dollar to do so
But I digress..

So now Ken Lay has been found guilty of stock fraud…do you feel justice has been served or should he have fried for a whole lot more??

…seems to me the guy ruined thousands of lives sorta like a walking depression making stock crash….ruining that many lives, you’d almost think the guy should be up there for mass murder..

But is it right just to try the enron gang, what about all the folks in all the other companies and all the other jobs, the banks, the brokers who played ball..who made it possible for the largest scam in history to happen... these folks paid fines but none of them are on trial..

I guess I’ll have to ask you, when it comes to Enron do you think justice is being served?
