well i hope you had a lovely turkey day
i know i did
i spent the day being a lazy sow
then had an early dinner at my place
with the M's in my life
Ms. M and I shared the cooking with her taking on the bulk of it
and Mr. M provided dessert and the wine
it was a night of too much food
the fireplace backing up due to some weird backdraft and smoking us out of us house and home
literally my cat ran upstairs and cried at the neighbors door asking them to take him in
"meow...let me in...there's smoke and crazy people at my house! meow!"
but after the smoke settled it was really lovely
so here i am
in that strange lull
called "the day after a major holiday"
and while most of my pals
enjoy the weekend off with their families
i shall go to my kitchen and cook my tuchas off for a latin/southern
theme wedding
cuban rice and beans and mac and cheese anyone?
ah well
i must make the moolah
so i can bring home the turkey bacon
on other news
i think today of all the folks out there who are not doing so well
and who maybe did not have love around them last night
or a nice feast
and i know
that i am a lucky lady
so for now
thats what im staying thankful for
"luck be a lady tonighttttttt."
