Storms, drunks and squirrels oh my

well im out here in ptown
and i promised myself
i would not blog till at least monday
but shit man
its been storming for two days straight (i mean gay)
and im getting cagey
hence the breaking of my promise to moi
certainly could not be because i have any sort of internet ADDICTION
COULD IT?!
anyway the trip here was off to a rocky start
as i wound up after a 7 hour bus ride in Hyannis (kennedy land)
only to discover at 7:30 at night that the bus mama
on the phone had not checked her facts and there were no buses to Ptown till the next ^%$#^&* day
so whats a girl to do
spend the night at the bus station?
the thrifty motel?
nope
i paid a not so reformed drunk cab driver 120 bucks to drive me the hour to ptown
during which i tried not to breathe as the stench of stale cigarettes was stifling
and although he spent the whole ride bragging about how he did not drink anymore
and never cheated on his wife
at the end of the ride
he asked me if he could come back with his Harley
and take me out for a drink
AAK
that night
i discovered the my little itty bitty apartment had no heat
so i froze my tuchas off
until i could get James the very sweet property manager to turn on my heat the next day
who knew you had to turn on a radiator?
thats when the storm started
endless pounding rain and wind
and it doesn't look like its letting up anytime soon
last night
in my nice warm apartment
i decided to FINALLY get a good night's sleep
only to be woken up by what is either
a rat, a mouse, a squirrel or a mystery animal that has evidently found a home above my ceiling and proceeded to scratch on my ceiling all night
at 3:30 in the morning i took my pal liz up on her offer
to use her place next door
and went there to crash
so here i am
its cold
its rainy
its bleak
and Cujo is living on my ceiling
but
sigh
its still ptown
its still the beautiful bay
and im still
a sexy gay mama
who looks good in a sweater
so what the hell
things could be a lot worse

im bundling up
got my umbrella
and off i go
in search of this thing called food

see ya
