I have been hearing so much liberal bashing
and lefty bashing
on the web these days its staggering
its basically this wall of truly offensive Americans
who have gotten this idea in their heads that to be democrat
to be against GWBUSH
is to be anti-american
anti-the-troops
pro-terrorist
all kinds of crap
oh and my personal fave are the ones
who have somehow decided that
the liberals will not be allowed in heaven
cause you know they were appointed by the lord
to decide these things
ill tell you honeys
the worst crap ive heard
in a long while
has come from right wingers who bash out at me
calling me
a traitor
or damned one
because i strongly believe that this president has done
a lousy ass job
im not calling everyone who voted for bush
a redneck, beer drinking piece of trailor park trash
or a holy roly born again jesus freak
hey
i know three people who voted for him
who are smart, kind, decent, fabulous people
who have completely opposing views to my own on this one subject
and none of these three people even own a trailor!
but i digress
i just hate what's happening to our country right now
i hate that there is this huge pull in the rural, mid west and southern states
for the president of this country to be ruled first by his church
second by his country
that scares the shit out of me
i hate feeling that big corporations are now, more then ever
deciding my life
i want people in the white house
not companies
i hate the feeling that a wash-over of conservatism not seen since the 1950's
is ebbing out and spilling across this great FREE land
i think of all the millions of people around this globe who dream every day
their secret wish to have the freedom
over their own lives
their own bodies
their own sexuality
their own religion
and here we are
with all of that
CHOOSING
to throw some of it away

do you really want to see this president take away my right to marry
the woman i may want to spend my life with
i don't know everything
but i do know this
im a great person
a good person
a gay person
this is not a choice
and i deserve the right to marry the person i fall in love with
just as much as anyone else does
i also deserve the right
to know that i am represented by my government
by my president
and honey
this president
does not represent me
not one little friggen bit
think about it
does he represent you?
do you want see a return to illegal abortions
to women being butchered in dirty back rooms
to teen age girls having their insides ripped out with coat hangers
is that what you want to see again in this country?
