ok you know what i'm gonna admit something to you right now
i did not know who the hell John Kerry was until a year ago
ok
i said it
that being said..i have been given an amazing opportunity re. John Kerry especially cause it looks like he at least has a chance of being our next president
that opportunity is to without being colored by any preconceived notions just see what i think of him
so far i've pretty much liked everyone i've seen
except for his playing both sides of the fence re. the gay marriage issue
shame, shame
so now, of course, i've been reading about his anti-war activities after coming back from Vietnam
you know what
this has really made me like him
big time
you've all met Vietnam vets
who have come back horrified, ruined, crazed, crippled, forever damaged
by what they saw, felt, did and had done to them over them
and most of them are royally mad about being sent there for a war that should not have happened
to have been wounded three times in the line of heroism
survive
and come back here to stand up publicly and denounce the war as wrong
that shows three things to me
courage,
honesty
and the ability to rise above ones sense of what you're supposed to do
and follow your heart which i suppose is courage and honesty all over again
supposedly, if this is any indication, the vietnam vets calling up to join in support of kerry is off the charts..
but what is it thats haunting the news? Hmmm?
the big ass propaganda train that’s pummeling us from every direction
that because kerry was seen in the background of a photograph with Jane Fonda
and because they both spoke at the same rally
he's practically being anointed as her lover
FONDA/KERRY
thats what the republican propaganda machine wants us to feel
well you know what
i don't like jane fonda
except of course for barberella which was an excellent flick
but what i really hate is this kind of politics
dirty pool

this is gross
and for the record
i dont like it from either side
when it happens republican or democrat
the hype
the spin-doctors
the mud slinging
isn't america sick of this shit already
just show us the facts
stop treating us like idiots
and let us make our own decisions
and FYI
for all the folks who think that now
kerry is the wrong guy
cause he was anti war
and now we are at war
think again
he's been brave enough to stand up and tell the truth
brave enough to embrace a fight against a war that nearly killed him
and most likely killed many of his friends
i want a brave president
who tells it like it is
i don't want any more spin-doctors
liars
two faced double talkers
i want someone real
and you know what
maybe kerry isn't real
maybe he's a liar too
and a faker
but i'd like to find that out for myself
not because of all this propaganda
